This summer we will offer a variety of programs with flexible scheduling to suit both serious and recreational dancers. Camps and classes are taught by professional faculty in a conservatory atmosphere. No audition is required for our intensives. All dancing hearts are welcome!

Classes  

PreBallet for ages 3.5-7

These classes are a joyous introduction to movement and music. Children develop body awareness, flexibility, rhythm, coordination and confidence.

June 21-August 16 (8 Saturdays; no class on July 5)

  • 9:15-10:00: PreBallet 1 for ages 3.5-5 ($24/class; $192/session)

  • 10:00-11:00: PreBallet 2/PreBallet 3 for ages 5-7 ($26/class; $208/session)

BALLET for ages 7-13

Students are introduced to dance in a welcoming, supportive environment. Dancers learn ballet vocabulary and basic technique while developing flexibility, coordination, strength and musicality.

July 8- August 12 (6 Tuesdays)

  • 4:30-6:00: Beginning Ballet for ages 7-13 ($30/class; $180/session)

OPEN CLASSES for ages 9+

Open classes are a great way to try out our studio and/or maintain your fitness level before intensives begin.

June 16-20 (Monday-Friday)

  • 4:30-6:30: Ballet for ages 9-12 and 13+ ($40/day; $200/week)

June 23-27 (Monday-Friday)

  • 10:00-12:00: Ballet for ages 9-12 and 13+ ($40/day; $200/week)

June 30- July 3 (Monday-Thursday)

  • 10:00-12:00: Ballet for ages 9-12 and 13+ ($40/class; $160/week)

August 18-22 (Monday-Friday)

  • 10:00- 12:00: Ballet for ages 11+ ($40/class; $200/week)

August 25-29 (Monday-Friday)

  • 10:00-12:00: Contemporary for ages 11+ with Mr. Eli Ruane ($40/class; $200/week)

OPEN ADULT/TEEN BALLET FOR AGES 14+

Emerald Ballet Academy offers a variety of recreational dance classes that are open to the community. Classes are $24 drop-in or $240 for a 12-class card ($20/class), with no registration fee. Try your first class for free! Please email register@emeraldballetacademy.com if you have any questions.

Discover or rediscover the joys of dance! Ballet develops strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, musicality, stamina and artistic expression. Technique class level is determined by students present.

Thematic Camps

Circus Camp DANCE & ART Camp for ages 3.5-8

In these five-day camps exploring various themes, time is split equally between dance and art. Ballet class, art and craft projects, creative games, acting out stories, snacktime and storytime. Camps culminate in an informal performance and sharing of student artwork..

Dr Seuss Dance & ART Camp for ages 3.5-8

In these five-day camps exploring various themes, time is split equally between dance and art. Ballet class, art and craft projects, creative games, acting out stories, snacktime and storytime. Camps culminate in an informal performance and sharing of student artwork.

The ZOO Dance & ART Camp for ages 3.5-8

In these five-day camps exploring various themes, time is split equally between dance and art. Ballet class, art and craft projects, creative games, acting out stories, snacktime and storytime. Camps culminate in an informal performance and sharing of student artwork.

  • July 28-August 1 from 9:30-12:00 ($70/day; $350/week)

Note: Campers must be age 3 by 1/1/2025 and can toilet independently.

Ballet Intensives

Emerald Ballet Academy’s Summer Intensives offer dancers of all levels the opportunity to grow artistically and technically through focused ballet training and complementary classes in character, musical theatre, contemporary, and conditioning.

Held at EBA and Meydenbauer Theatre, these programs bring acclaimed guest instructors and EBA’s trusted faculty together to provide exceptional local training. Our instructors are dedicated mentors who help students build strength, confidence, and artistry in a supportive and inspiring environment.

LEVEL A (ages 8-10 with 0 yrs pointe or B1-4A)

BALLET technique | Pointe/pre-pointe | MUSICAL THEATRE or jazz

Level A intensives take place at the EBA studio. They include daily technique class, beginning pointe or pre-pointe class (pointe will be offered to students going on pointe), and jazz or musical theatre. Guest faculty Lexi Warden will teach musical theatre-type dancing as well as acting and singing. All weeks conclude with a mini performance on Friday. (Dance experience is not required to participate)

  • July 7-11 from 1:30-4:30 at studio with Mr. Roman: Cats Musical Theatre ($360/week or $320 if 2+ weeks)

  • July 14-18 from 1:30-4:30 at studio with Mr. Roman: Character/Acting ($360/week or $320 if 2+ weeks)

  • July 21-25 from 1:30-4:30 at studio with Mr. Eli: Jazz ($360/week or $320 if 2+ weeks)

  • July 28-August 1 from 9:30-12:30 at studio with Ms. Lexi: Mary Poppins Musical Theatre ($360/week or $320 if 2+ weeks)



LEVEL B (ages 11-13 w/1-2 yrs pointe or 4B-5A)

BALLET technique | Pointe | ENRICHMENT | rehearsal & performance at theatre

Level B intensives take place at the studio or Meydenbauer Theatre. Studio intensives include daily ballet technique, pointe class, and a variety of enrichment classes such as character, acting, contemporary, jazz, variations and stretching/conditioning. Theatre intensives include daily class and pointe, and learning/rehearsing classical or neo-classical rep/choreography. All weeks conclude with a mini performance.

  • July 7-11 from 1:30-5:30 at studio with Mr. Roman & Ms. Tatiana: Character & Acting ($480/week or $450 if 2+ weeks)

  • July 14-18 from 1:30-5:30 at studio with Mr. Eli & Ms. Tatiana: Jazz/Contemporary ($480/week or $450 if 2+ weeks)

  • July 21-25 from 1:30-5:30 at studio with Mr. Roman & Ms. Tatiana: Vaganova ($480/week or $450 if 2+ weeks)

  • July 28-August 1 from 1:30-5:30 at Meydenbauer Theatre with Ms. Ashley Bouder: Balanchine-inspired ($480/week or $450 if 2+ weeks)

  • August 4-8 from 1:30-5:30 at Meydenbauer Theatre with Ms. Allison Fan: Contemporary ($480/week or $450 if 2+ weeks)

  • August 11-15 from 1:30-5:30 at studio Mr. Alysson Rocha: Classical Ballet ($480/week or $450 if 2+ weeks)

LEVEL C (ages 13+ w/3+ yrs pointe or 5B+)

BALLET technique | pointe | ENRICHMENT | rehearsal & performance at theatre

Level C intensives take place at the studio or Meydenbauer Theatre. Studio intensives include daily ballet technique, pointe class, and a variety of enrichment classes such as character, acting, contemporary, jazz, variations and stretching/conditioning. Theatre intensives include daily class and pointe, and learning/rehearsing classical or neo-classical rep/choreography. All weeks conclude with a mini performance. Mr. Jonathan’s class will conclude with a lecture “The Path to Joining Ballet Schools and Training Programs in the U.S.”(12:30pm to 1:30pm)

  • July 7-11 from 9:30- 1:30 at studio with Mr. Jonathan: Classical Ballet ($480/week or $450 if 2+ weeks)

  • July 14-18 from 9:30- 1:30 at studio with Mr. Roman & Ms. Tatiana: Character/Acting ($480/week or $450 if 2+ weeks)

  • July 21-25 from 9:30- 1:30 at studio with Mr. Eli & Ms. Tatiana: Contemporary ($480/week or $450 if 2+ weeks)

  • July 28-August 1 from 1:30-5:30 at Meydenbauer Theatre with Ms. Ashley Bouder: Balanchine-inspired ($480/week or $450 if 2+ weeks)

PRIVATE LESSONS
