Little Movers/PREBALLET PROGRAM for ages 2.5-7

Little Movers designed for 2.5-3.5 years and their caregivers to bond, learn, and have fun together through the beautiful art of ballet. Together you’ll participate in simple ballet exercises, creative movement activities, and fun games that foster a love for dance and enhance physical development. The program is designed to help your child develop motor skills and coordination.

Our PreBallet program thoughtfully introduces children to the world of dance. A love of movement and music is nurtured, and basic ballet technique is taught in an age-appropriate way. In three progressive levels, students develop flexibility, coordination, strength, grace and confidence. They not only take class and participate in optional performances, but become members of a vibrant and supportive dance community. Children make new friends, and build relationships with caring faculty and teen mentors/assistants. Many PreBallet students also sign up for Emerald Ballet special events throughout the year for additional creative experiences.

My two young daughters first came to EBA for the summer classes. They have been dancing in another dance studio for over a year, and while they liked it there, I felt that the classes offered there were not teaching them proper basics. During the summer weekly preballet classes at EBA, they learned more than they did in a whole year at the other studio, while having just as much fun. Now we come to EBA all the way from Lake Stevens every week because they love it so much here. EBA is such a warm and welcoming place, we first came for the quality of classes offered and we keep coming back for the people. All the teachers and admin are very responsive and friendly, and I met so many EBA parents and older students who have nothing but praises for everyone at EBA. I also love that they prioritize the health and the wellbeing of the young dancers, and I hear from Ms. Viktoria all the time how kids should have fun at this age because they’re only little for so long. The preballet classes are always filled with laughter and lots of running around, but somehow my kids come home having learned something new in ballet. I was inspired to take adult community classes on Fridays (with zero dance experience), and it is probably one of the best decisions I made in recent years. We look forward to our classes at EBA every week, and I’m so thankful for everyone here at EBA for nurturing our love for ballet
